# Pricing questions

### What counts as a trace?

A trace is a single request or transaction captured by your SDK. Each API call, page load, or background job that you instrument counts as one trace.

### Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan is free forever with 200K traces/month, no credit card required. For paid plans, you can start free and upgrade when you're ready.

### Can I change plans anytime?

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect immediately and billing is prorated.

### What happens if I exceed my trace limit?

At 90% usage you'll get an email notification. At 110% we stop accepting new traces. You can upgrade your plan at any time to increase your limit.

### How does billing work?

Plans are billed monthly. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your account settings. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

### Do you offer annual billing?
